After our valient attempts to down this last night, Loggy and I have been watching / reading a few diff strats and have the following thoughts on things that we could change for next week:

Gravity Well / Static Overload (I found this to be a big problem as I was constantly hit by other peoples debuff)
  • Have stack point in the center back end of the room. Ranged will stand in a line/half moon from left to right infront of this point, and run straight backwards to the meet point if they get the debuff.
  • Use DBM /range10 to make sure you have enough distance from other players that you will not be hit if they recieve the debuff, or visa versa.
  • If you have a countdown timer on the debuff, you do not have the debuff that needs dispelling - do not run back.
  • Gravity Well and Static Overload cancel eachother out - once you've /hug the person with the other debuff at the meet point, make sure you get back into position - the meet point is for a quickie, no time for a proper date.

Frozen Orb
  • Stack the raid together and move as far from the orb spawn point (looks like a little icy circle before it forms) as possible as one team (unless you have lightning debuff). This means the Flame Strike will occur under the raid and the person the orb has targetted can simply move to the far side of the raid and the orb will hit the Strike. Note: This strat is not always viable, but it will simplify things the majority of the time.
  • Movement buffs are a HUGE help - holy priest shield, druid sprint, movement increase enchants, situational lifegrip - whatever it takes to get the kiter as far from the orb as possible.

Lightning Rod
  • While you do need to get away from the raid, dont press up against the walls incase the Flame Strike spawns under you - and up the wall.
  • Once you've been hit by lightning once, you can rejoin the raid - even though you still have the debuff, you wont be hit twice.

Phase 3
  • Mostly a DPS burn
  • Tank should move boss immediately from middle of the room to the outside. This means there will only be a small puddle in the center, and healers can form a triangle around this in the middle, and range around that.
  • Range/healers use DBM to /range10 to make sure you don't chain lightning effects.
  • Kite boss slowly around outside of room to leave as much room as possible for the puddles he leaves behind him.

We were actually pretty close to getting to P3 last night, and once we're there I think it will be easy. Hopefully the above will help us get there next week! Appreciate any other thoughts / feedback that can be added to this strat.

For phase 2, yes.

Not for phase one though, from what i saw almost all the casters were getting the haste decrease debuff which is unnecessary, and also prolongs phase 1, considering that our top dps are all casters. I think what we were doing in the first phase needed work, even though we were getting through it.
